Core Privacy Guarantee: HabitFine is built offline-first. Your habit logs, streaks, focus timer records, and virtual penalty calculations never leave your device unless you explicitly choose to backup to your private Google Drive.
1. Information We Collect
HabitFine collects minimal or zero personally identifiable information (PII):
- Local Habit & Goal Data: Created routines, completion check-ins, focus minutes, and fine ledger details stored locally on your device storage.
- Audio Preferences & App Settings: Saved themes, sound choices, and timer intervals.
- Backups: If enabled, backup JSON files are saved to your personal Google Drive or local internal storage. We do not operate external database servers to read this data.
2. Virtual Fine System Disclaimer
All fines, debt amounts, and penalties shown within the app are 100% virtual. HabitFine does not automatically debit money from your bank account, credit card, or UPI. Fines are strictly psychological accountability mechanisms.
3. Third-Party Services
The app may use minimal third-party tools solely for stability:
- Google Play Billing Services (for voluntary lifetime/subscription upgrades).
- Google Drive API (strictly for user-initiated cloud backup export and restore).
4. Data Deletion
You have full control over your data. Clearing app storage or uninstalling the app permanently removes all your local records. You can also export or wipe data inside Settings → Backup & Restore.
