Terms of Service

1. Acceptance of Terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ProCSC Tools / Jitendra ("we", "us", or "our") governing your access to and use of the HabitFine application (Package ID: com.procsctools.habitfine) and related website services. If you do not agree to these Terms, do not install or use HabitFine.

2. Description of Service

HabitFine is an offline-first productivity hub designed to help individuals build positive habits, maintain unbroken daily streaks, track focus through Pomodoro sessions and mechanical flip clocks, and enforce personal accountability via virtual penalty jars.

3. Virtual Fine System & Psychological Accountability

A central feature of HabitFine is the ability to assign financial penalty amounts to uncompleted habits:

• Virtual Nature: All fines, debts, and penalty balances recorded in HabitFine are simulated and virtual. HabitFine does not access your bank accounts, credit cards, or digital wallets to withdraw or hold funds.
• No Real Liability: Unpaid virtual fines do not constitute legal debts, credit liabilities, or monetary obligations.
• Fine-to-Savings: The optional "Fine to Savings" feature is a self-directed mental accounting helper. Any real money transferred to savings accounts or piggy banks is handled entirely outside the app by you.

4. Free Plan vs. HabitFine Plus (Pro Membership)

HabitFine operates a transparent commercial model:

• HabitFine Free: Provides access to core habit tracking (up to 5 active habits), 1 goal portfolio, daily streaks, retro flip clock, rain soundscape, 30-day history, and 2 basic launcher widgets with zero advertising.
• HabitFine Plus: An optional paid upgrade granting access to unlimited habits, all 6 interactive Android widgets, 52-week contribution heatmaps, streak freeze shields, fine-to-savings vaults, the complete soundscape suite, 10 executive themes, and CSV spreadsheet exports.
• Billing & Subscriptions: Payments for HabitFine Plus passes (Monthly, Annual Pass, or Lifetime) are processed through the Google Play Store and subject to Google Play Terms of Service.
• Promotional Codes: Promotional codes (such as TRYYEAR) are issued at our discretion and subject to promotional eligibility rules.

5. Proprietary Rights & License

HabitFine, including its source code, user interface designs, mascot icons, graphic animations, audio soundscapes, and native widget implementations, is proprietary commercial software owned exclusively by ProCSC Tools / Jitendra. HabitFine is not open-source and is not licensed under GPLv3. You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use the application on your personal devices.

6. User Responsibilities & Data Backups

Because HabitFine operates offline and does not maintain a central copy of your habits on remote cloud servers:

• You are solely responsible for maintaining backups of your data using the built-in local JSON export or Google Drive backup tools.
• We are not responsible for data loss arising from device damage, operating system updates, uninstallation, or storage corruption.

7. Disclaimer of Warranties

HabitFine is provided on an "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE" basis without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied. We do not warrant that the application will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every Android device or OS fork.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, in no event shall ProCSC Tools, Jitendra, or any contributors be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of your access to or inability to use HabitFine.

9. Termination

You may terminate your agreement with these Terms at any time by uninstalling the application. We reserve the right to suspend support or discontinue updates at our discretion.
